Felix the Reaper is free to claim on the Epic Games Store today

The Epic Games Store today delivered its first giveaway of November, and it replaces last week"s horror drops that contained Bendy and the Ink Machine and Five Nights at Freddy"s: Into the Pit. The latest freebie for PC gamers is a copy of Felix the Reaper. As always, you have seven days to add the games permanently to your Epic Games Store library.

Developed by Kong Orange, Felix the Reaper lands as a puzzle game with a unique setting. You take the role of Felix, a bringer of death that is cheerful enough to dance while doing his job. The gameplay centers around navigating Felix through floating environments made of grid tiles. Being a reaper, Felix cannot move in direct sunlight, so players have to shift the sun and move objects to cast shadows to create pathways.

The ultimate goal of each level is to cause "accidental" deaths of characters from the real world, which happens with plenty of comedic twists. Moreover, the game"s narrator, who provides instructions and comments on Felix"s actions across the campaign, is voiced by Patrick Stewart.

"To add something extra to this core game experience, we wrapped it in deep layers of storytelling, death, dance, art history, love and comedy," adds the developer. "That way you get to enjoy a wholesome story world, while boiling your brains on complicatedly straight forward shadow puzzles about Death."

The Felix the Reaper giveaway is now live on the Epic Games Store. PC gamers can grab it until November 13, which is when the freebie offer will refresh with a new game.

Outside the game giveaway, Epic is also offering a goodie pack for Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms. Anyone logging into this free-to-play idling title from now through November 13 will receive in-game items that are said to be worth over $100.
