You may remember that a couple of months before the launch of the Surface tablet in October 2012, Microsoft started an outdoor ad campaign for the product that involved painting the sides of buildings with minimalistic tablet figures. For the November 22nd launch of the Xbox One console, Microsoft seems to be going with a more traditional outdoor billboard push to promote the product.

The first such outdoor ads began to pop up in major U.S. cities a couple of weeks ago. NeoGAF has posted up pictures of some of these billboards in a message board thread. What"s interesting is that the ads all have different slogans and catch phrases. For example, the billboard below has "Jump Ahead", an obvious nod to the slogan for the current Xbox 360, "Jump In".

However, other billboards that have been spotted have longer catch phrases such as the one below:

Yet another outdoor ad was found in Los Angeles by a developer at Insomniac Games and posted on his Twitter account:

Woah an Xbox One billboard by my place. Crazy. pic.twitter.com/z86Yg7RBTI

Here"s yet another Xbox One billboard spotted by a Twitter user in the Bronx section of New York City:

Hell yeah thats what I like to see, a nice billboard for Xbox One on the cross bronx expressway!! @xbox #cantwait pic.twitter.com/USLE7HhRon

The idea of using different catch phrases makes looking at all of these Xbox One billboards feel more like collecting trading cards. On the other hand, the lack of one consistent slogan might also confuse consumers. Perhaps we will see just one slogan for the console in the near future as Microsoft fine tunes its launch plans.
