Fluent Design and more lands on Microsoft's To-Do app update

Microsoft has rolled out an update for the To-Do app that bumps it up to version 1.29. This release appears to concentrate on the look of the app, adding Fluent Design with more to come. The full changelog can be viewed below:

WHAT"S NEW

  • Have you tried our new Subtask function? The subtasks help to divide the activities into smaller goals.
  • New: we are making the first changes to the To-Do Fluent Design. Take a look at the minimize and maximize buttons and you’ll notice that we’ve removed the bar at the top. Stay tuned for upcoming Fluent updates!
  • Improved: Changing themes now looks even better with new animations, as well as more user interface corrections.

Aside from the addition of the Subtask function, which appear to be labeled as Steps that you can add to tasks, switching themes for the main app has a smooth transition and the first indications of the Fluent Design updates can be seen with the screenshot up above. As of publishing, the new Fluent Design style has not yet been added to the Microsoft Store page for the To-Do app preview screenshots.

Microsoft encourages users to provide feedback on the app on their UserVoice page, and suggests that users can get help with it here.

Microsoft To-Do isn"t a calendar replacement, but rather a complement for the day"s tasks. It"s available now for Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile and on Android and iOS.
