Gears 5 adds new Heroes and Villains as part of Title Update 1.5

Gears 5 become available worldwide last month and quickly topped the list of Microsoft"s biggest game launch of this generation. Today, Microsoft has unveiled six new characters that have been added to the title as part of Title Update 1.5, which was announced yesterday. Additionally, a host of gameplay and functionality changes and fixes have also been introduced as part of this update.

For starters, there are four new Heroes and Villains, with the COG Gear and the DeeBee featuring as Heroes, while the Warden and General RAAM entering the ranks of the Villains. Offering powerful multiplayer abilities to master, these characters can be earned through gameplay, or purchased through the in-game store. The latter path will cost you 500 Iron, which you can either obtain by paying $4.99, or earn by playing the game. You can learn about each of the aforementioned character"s abilities in detail here.

Moving on, there are two other characters from Terminator Dark Fate are being added to the multiplayer modes. Namely, these include the cyborg Grace and the new Terminator model Rev-9. Notably, other characters from the movie which include the T-800 Endoskeleton and Sarah Connor already feature in Gears 5. The new characters from the movie are available in a character pack that costs $19.99.

The extensive list of changes and fixes that are part of Title Update 1.5 can be read about on the weekly update page. As far as upcoming additions are concerned, seasonal multiplayer events, new Escape Hives, and customization rewards that can be earned through the Versus, Horde, and Escape modes will be arriving in the coming weeks, so keep an eye out for those.
