Google announces MODE: easily interchangeable bands for Android Wear watches

In a press release today, Google announced MODE, watch bands for Android Wear that are designed to interchange as easily as "snap-and-swap". The bands were created in partnership with b&nd by Hadley Roma.

MODE uses a slide button that allows the user to detach their band with a click.

The new bands will be available in four sizes and promise to fit most Android Wear watches. They will come in "a rainbow of colors", and offer leather and silicon options.

Google seems to be entering the accessories market more and more. Just ten days ago, the firm released Live Cases for Nexus devices.

Easily changeable bands are a feature that Apple Watch users have enjoyed for some time, and they"re one of the more beloved features of the device. It"s likely that Android Wear users will enjoy this as well.

You can shop for MODE at the Google Store, Best Buy, or Amazon starting at $49.95 for the silicon model and $59.95 for the leather model.
