Google introduces Lyria 3 Pro music generation model that can generate 3-minute tracks

Last month, Google introduced Lyria 3, its latest generative music model that can create 30-second tracks with custom cover art generated by Nano Banana. It can create tracks even without user-provided lyrics, as the lyrics are generated based on user prompts. Lyria also allows users to control track elements such as style, vocals, and tempo.

Today, Google introduced Lyria 3 Pro, its most advanced music generation model. It can create tracks up to 3 minutes long, offering users more creative control and customization options. For example, users can now provide prompts with details on elements like intros, verses, choruses, and bridges. As a result, Google claims that Lyria 3 Pro can create more realistic and musically complex tracks.

The Lyria 3 Pro model is now available in the following Google products and services:

Vertex AI: Lyria 3 Pro is available as an API in public preview on Vertex AI, allowing large organizations to create soundtracks at scale for gaming and integration into different music and video platforms.

Google AI Studio and the Gemini API: Developers creating creative tools can now access Lyria 3 Pro APIs alongside Lyria RealTime in AI Studio.

Google Vids: Along with Lyria 3, Lyria 3 Pro is now available in Vids, Google"s enterprise video creation service. These new models will allow Vids users to add custom music to match the videos they are creating. Lyria 3 Pro is rolling out to Google Workspace customers and Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers starting this week.

Gemini app: Lyria 3 Pro is now available in the Gemini app for AI Pro and Ultra subscribers, allowing them to create longer tracks with improved customization and control.

ProducerAI: ProducerAI is a collaborative music creation tool targeting musicians. Lyria 3 Pro is now available inside ProducerAI for free and paid subscribers to help artists, producers, and songwriters iterate on comprehensive songs.

Similar to AI-generated images and videos, all Lyria 3 and Lyria 3 Pro musical outputs are embedded with a SynthID watermark for identifying Google AI-generated content.
