Google I/O 2026: Here's when and where you can watch Google's official keynotes

We are in the tech summer, and several major events from big companies are scheduled for May and June. Google already started its showcase earlier this month at the "Android Show: I/O Edition," where it unveiled the new Googlebook, Gemini Intelligence, upgraded Android Auto, creator features for Android 17, Noto 3D emojis, new Chrome features, and a feature to fight doomscrolling.

That said, the search giant is about to kick off one of its biggest events of the year: Google I/O 2026. As you might already know, Google I/O is a developer-focused event that has been happening every year since 2008. Its latest edition will be held from May 19 through May 20, when you"ll be able to watch livestreamed keynotes and sessions, as well as access technical content and learning materials on demand.

While we have already seen several new offerings from Google this month, the search giant said it will share its "biggest updates across AI, Android, Chrome, and Cloud" at the developer event, including new tools and features around agentic coding.

If you"re interested in catching up on the action, the official Google Keynote on May 19 will start at 10:00 am PT / 1:00 pm ET / 5:00 pm GMT / 10:30 pm IST / 3:00 am AET (May 20) respectively. The livestream will be available on the Google I/O website and its official YouTube channel, including an American Sign Language stream. You can also return to this page on May 19 to join the livestream.

The inaugural keynote is expected to last for about 1 hour and 45 minutes, after which Google will host the Developer Keynote (ASL link) from 1:30 pm to 2:45 pm PT. Google will also have dedicated sessions for specific platforms, such as What"s new in Android, What"s new in Google AI, and What"s new in Chrome. Note that the Developer Keynote and all of the secondary sessions will be livestreamed on the Google For Developers YouTube channel.

During these sessions, the search giant will discuss Android 17 performance improvements, new features for media and camera apps, new functionality for desktop, and what it"s doing to improve model capabilities across multimodal, media generation, and robotics. Android 17 reached platform stability last month and is expected to launch sometime around June.
