Google Maps comes to iOS 6, people cease being lost

After a series of problems and horrible feedback related to Apple"s iOS 6 Maps offering, Google has come to the rescue by finally re-launching Google Maps on the iPhone. The app, now available in the App Store for people with an iPhone 3GS or newer, brings popular features including free turn-by-turn navigation, Street View and local search to find places near you.

In the official announcement on the Google blog, Google makes several references to how their mapping solution is the most accurate ("we make tens of thousands of daily updates") and most complete ("more than 80 million businesses and points of interest") for Apple devices. With the new app, you can simply shake your device when you see something wrong to send feedback to Google.

You"ll notice from screenshots of the app that Google has taken a notably Android feel to their application; however this should be little concern to iPhone owners as you"ll no longer have to be worried about getting lost due to dodgy directions. We highly recommend switching over to Google Maps as soon as possible, which you can do through the link below.
