I was offered the chance to test out the SKG G7 Pro Fold 3.0 Neck Massager, and full disclosure, they let me keep it regardless of my findings. Anyway, I jumped at the chance due to my long hours sitting at my desk; I figured it could offer some neck pain relief.

Crafted with high-quality Meterial, it exudes sophistication. With its multi-functional rocker buttons, it offers convenient control. This unique design makes it the perfect gift choice for your family and friends.

Design
With all that out of the way, here are my own findings.
SKG does not say what materials are used to make the neck massager, however in the user manual it mentions it is a combination of silicone and PU leather cushioning with the rest being mostly made up from plastics. On the inside of the massager there are nine "316L stainless steel with a TiN coating for a refined matte-gold finish" motorized heads for the different styles of massage, which are not actually listed at all in the paper user manual, but the standard included modes are:
- Relieve Stress,
- Active Acupunture(?),
- Quick Relax(?),
- Zen Kneading,
- Srong Pull...(?).
Yes, the app truncates the wording of the modes, which I find to be completely unnecessary since the words do not scroll in a form of marquee to show the user the full wording. On tapping on More techniques, the following modes are also available:
Recommend
- Dopamine Te...
- Hard Pressi...
- Powerful Pou...
- Kneading and ...
- Palm Push D...
- Powerful Awa...
Fatigue Relief
- Kneading and...
- Palm Push D...
Soreness Relief Massage
- Dopamine Te...
- Hard Pressin...
- Powerful Pou...
- Powerful Awa
The massager looks quite premium and is very comfortable to wear.
This massager is small and light enough to go anywhere, as it doesn"t get in the way of anything, so I was able to use it in the chair while writing this review. Unlike the back massager SKG does not warn in the user guide to not use it for more than 40 minutes a day (or two 20-minute sessions). However there is a long laundry list of ailments a user could have where they should not use the device, and it is warned that the neck massager is not a substitute for a medical device.
It also includes a 2,400mAh battery with a rated power of 10W and input of 5V which is the standard for up to USB 3.0 power.
On the right of the neck massager is the On/Off and modes button which also acts as a joystick, you can operate all the modes directly from the power button, as well as the app which I"ll get into a bit later:
- + push backward: Increase Pulse intensity
- Push up: increase heat
- On/Off button: long press
- Mode Switching: Single tap (while in operation)
- Push down: decrease heat
- - push forward: decrease Pulse intensity
Speaking of modes, the belt supports:
- Massage mode: 9 levels
- Pulse intensity: 9 levels
- Vibration mode: 3 modes
- Vibration intensity: 3 levels
The massager defaults to Relieve Stress mode, but there"s also a setting that lets you toggle the memory mode in which it will remember the mode, and intensity level that was used in the previous session.
Again, it is not stated anywhere if the neck massager has overheat protection and this time around regarding heat, the only detail I could find is that it has a " 640nm red light + 850nm near-infrared (NIR) with a wraparound heating design, plus 4 heat levels to match different comfort preferences" the temperature stages are not listed anywhere in the paper manual, Amazon listing or official website.
The heat levels can be adjusted through the app or directly on the device using the joystick button.
Usage
There"s also the SKG app, which makes using the massager far easier than feeling around for the button on the side of your neck. If the app is stopped, you are required to login with a verification code over email, which I am not too pleased with as this means it will only work that way for however long SKG decides to support it through said app.

Click on the above images for the full mobile app view. The third image up above allows you to select if the neck massager should remember the mode and intensity, which I found rather handy.
Upon tapping on More Techniques, a bunch of other modes can be added to the main app screen "Massage Techniques" again, all of the mode names are truncated.

Here you only have to remember to moisten the massage heads and the back of neck area where the massager will be applied. Again, trying it without dampening the belt or my neck is uncomfortable, as the electrodes end up hurting by creating little shocks. With a slightly damp massager and neck, the massage sensation is quite nice.
For me I discovered that I could turn it all the way up, and there are lots of modes to cycle through, adding any of the above modes sends it to the device, and is announced as "customized mode" through the voice notification. For me the one that mostly felt ...human, was the "Hard Press..." mode that felt like fingers pressing into my neck.
Before I forget, there"s also a switch next to the USB charging port to deactivate and activate the voice mode, which when enabled, audibly tells the user when switching intensities, modes, connecting to the "A" "P" "P" (instead of just saying app) and informing when the massages starts and completes.
That said, on to my likes and dislikes, which are listed below.
What I didn"t like
- Having to wet each time for comfortable use
- Use through the mobile app relies on continued support from SKG
- Not able to power on via app
- App kept sporadically disconnecting
- Unnecessary truncating the names of the modes in the app
- This would have been less annoying if all the modes are listed in the user manual, but they are not listed there, or on the website.
What I liked
- Ability to control through app
- Cordless use
- Light and comfortable to wear
- Heat is also quite comfortable
Where to buy:
As with the back massager this thing is not cheap, Luckily there"s also a slightly cheaper "Pro" version that uses steel instead of titanium gold for the massage heads (linked below)
- SKG G7 Pro Fold 3.0 Neck Massager for $199.99 on Amazon
- Apply in-page $10 off coupon for final price of $189.99
- Cheaper version available without titanium heads for $149.99 at above link
Just like the back massager, this gets a confused thumbs up (due to the cost). It could be improved by allowing it to be powered on through the app, and the developers of the app should immediately fix the truncated wording for all the modes.
