HP launches gaming PC and HTC Vive bundle for discounted price

HP and HTC announced a new VR-ready PC bundle featuring the HP ENVY 750-415VHR desktop and the HTC Vive, which will launch at a discounted price of $1,499. There is currently no information available on a release date or on preorder details, though HTC advertises that more Vive-ready HP bundles will be coming soon.

The desktop comes equipped with a Radeon RX 480 graphics card, an Intel Core i5-6400 processor and 8 GB of DDR4 RAM. This Windows 10 PC offers a 128 GB solid-state drive, alongside a traditional 1 TB hard drive, in addition to including an optical disk drive.

With the Vive, users will get two wireless controllers, two base stations to process signals, as well as a whole host of face cushions. The Vive also supports a beta version of the Vive software platform, which includes Viveport and Vive Home. The package will also offer two free VR experiences, Valve"s The Lab and a demo of WeVR"s Blu:Encounter.
