HTC announces Android 9.0 Pie is coming to several devices, doesn't announce dates

If you are one of those invested in HTC"s newer devices, you"ll be happy to know that the firm has announced that it will be offering support for Android 9.0 Pie on several of its handsets.

The company will offer support for Android Pie on the U12+, U11+, U11, and U11 Life. While this is a nice gesture, what the firm didn"t announce is when exactly these updates are coming.

We"re pleased as pie to confirm updates to Android Pie for the HTC U12+, U11+, U11, and U11 life (Android One). Timeframes for roll-out will be announced in due course.

Most companies have had a bad track record when it comes to Android OS updates for their devices and HTC is no exception, although it isn"t the worst offender. Hopefully, the news will give owners of the aforementioned handsets a glimmer of hope. If you want to know more about Android 9.0 Pie, be sure to visit Google"s website, as it offers information about some of the new features the update brings.
