On the first day of Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, Lenovo announced a plethora of new hardware, some of which are refreshes of its signature lines, while others are novelty concepts. The headline is the expansion of the popular Yoga laptop family. Lenovo announced 3 new Yoga devices for different target audiences.

Following the broader industry trends, where every company is racing to integrate as many AI features into their products as possible, Lenovo is ensuring this year’s Yoga lineup revolves heavily around artificial intelligence.

Here’s a breakdown of the new Yoga family hardware Lenovo will start shipping soon:

Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition Gen 11 (14-inch)

Lenovo’s flagship convertible is getting a massive brightness boost this year. The new OLED panel makes the Yoga 9i much more usable outdoors or in brightly lit studios. The laptop is powered by Intel’s latest Core Ultra Series 3 CPUs, which promise both decent performance and power efficiency. The chassis is a bit lighter to carry, making this convertible decently portable. Perhaps the news that will make a lot of potential buyers happy is that the beloved headphone jack is making its return on the Youga 9i.

Lenovo is particularly targeting artists with this device by introducing the new Canvas Mode. You can magnetically attach the bundled stylus’s case to the A cover to make the screen slightly elevated from a flat surface. This puts the screen in a more natural, ergonomic position for drawing. It essentially turns the 2-in-1 into a proper drafting table.

Key Specs:

  • Display: 14-inch 2.8K (2880x1800) 120Hz OLED Touchscreen (1100 nits HDR peak)
  • Processor: Intel Core Ultra Series 3 - Core Ultra 7 355 (Panther Lake)
  • Memory: 32 GB
  • Notable Features: Canvas Mode, bundled Yoga Pen Gen 2, headphone jack return
  • Price & Availability: Starts at $1,949; available May 2026

Yoga Pro 7a (15-inch)

If the 9i is for sketching, the Yoga Pro 7a is built for heavy lifting. This clamshell is aimed directly at video editors, 3D animators, or anyone who demands a resource-heavy workflow from a laptop. This laptop pairs the robust AMD processors with massive memory capacities, which should allow you to chew through intense rendering tasks without breaking a sweat.

The most interesting feature is the Force Pad haptic touchpad. Lenovo designed it ot accept direct stylus input, so you can write or draw right on the trackpad. Of course, the limited size of the trackpad doesn’t make drawing on it more convenient than drawing on an actual screen, but it should be good enough for quick sketches or highlighting.

Key Specs:

  • Display: 15-inch
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen AI Max+ Series
  • Memory: Up to 128GB RAM
  • Notable Features: Force Pad haptic touchpad with stylus support
  • Price & Availability: Starts around $2,099; shipping June through August 2026

Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition (14-inch)

If you’d rather have extra mobility over raw horsepower, Lenovo has got you covered with the Slim 7i. This laptop features an ultra-slim design, which makes it a perfect travel companion. At just 1.15kg, you’ll barely notice this thing is in your bag.

Of course, it’s not as powerful as the rest of the lineup, but it still comes with a low-power variant of the Core Ultra 7 355 processor, which allows you to perform essential tasks like browsing, media playback, office work, some photo editing, etc., without any problems. It also comes with extreme battery life optimizations, which can be a lifesaver if you’re on the road.

Key specs:

  • Display: 14-inch
  • Processor: Intel Core Ultra Series 3 - Core Ultra 7 355 (low-power variant)
  • Memory: 16GB / 32GB
  • Weight: 1.15kg
  • Notable Features: Ultra-slim design, extended battery life optimizations
  • Price & Availability: Starts at $1,449; available March and April 2026

AI integrations

Of course, AI was a big part of the announcement. Lenovo is integrating its new system-level AI assistant, Qira, into all of these laptops. Qira acts as an ambient, adaptive assistant that tracks user context, helps automate daily scheduling, helps with optimizing settings, and is integrated into creator applications to help users understand them better and use them more efficiently.

Beyond Lenovo’s in-house AI, all three of these new Yoga laptops officially qualify as Copilot+ PCs. They easily support Microsoft"s full suite of local Windows 11 AI features, like Live Captions and Studio Effects, completely offline and right out of the box.

This also means that users will be greeted by two AI assistants when they power up one of these laptops for the first time. I’ll let you be the judge of whether that’s bloat or an efficient way of using a laptop.

Besides the new Yoga lineup, Lenovo also went full experimental mode during today’s announcement. It showcased a bunch of new, unique devices, including the Yoga Book Pro 3D Concept, a gigantic keyboard, an AI peripheral, and more.
