LG V30 unboxing and first impressions

Today at its IFA 2017 briefing, LG finally announced the V30. There wasn"t much left to tell, as it"s gradually been unveiling various features of the handset.

You might recall that LG was one of the only major OEMs to not release a phone powered by Qualcomm"s Snapdragon 835 this spring, so this is the first device from the company to feature the flagship chipset. It"s a major improvement on the 821 that"s included in the G6.

But aside from performance, the V30 has a bunch of other interesting features. It"s the first in the V-series lineup to use an OLED display, which frankly looks stunning. The 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC has been improved, and as always, there"s a focus on the camera.

The second screen is gone, and it"s been replaced by the new Floating Bar, and you can see that it borrows some design from the G6, while ditching the brushed aluminum look. Check out our unboxing and first impressions video of the LG V30.
