LG's upcoming V30 could arrive with a glass rear and wireless charging

In a matter of months, LG could reveal its next handset, the V30. With heavy competition from the likes of Samsung, it is rumored that the firm is trying to release it early, with the possibility that it will be shown off at IFA Berlin. While there is still some time before we will get to see it in its official form, it appears that the device could arrive with wireless charging and will most likely have a glass back.

The news comes from OnLeaks, who has been known in the past to have reliable information on a wide variety of smartphones. Currently, LG includes wireless charging on its G6 for some regions and has recently revealed an upgraded offering with the G6+ which has wireless charging as well.

According to my sources, #LGV30 will support wireless charging and thus, very likely have glass back. Still have dual rear cam and rear FPS.

So far, if reports are to be believed, the V30 will include the latest in terms of processors, packing Qualcomm"s Snapdragon 835 and could arrive with 6GB RAM. Furthermore, there is also the possibility that LG will try and go head-to-head with Samsung when it comes to the screen, offering up its own rendition of a curved display.

While it is still unclear what the device will look like, there were leaks last month that offered up images of the handset, utilizing a sliding mechanism and housing an even larger secondary display compared to the current V20. Although the idea looks interesting, it is unknown whether the firm is still pursuing the ambitious design. Like always, we will have to wait until more leaks arrive or until it surfaces at IFA Berlin, which is held at the start of September.
