The keyboard is compatible with macOS 10.15 or later, iOS 14 or later, and iPadOS 14 or later. It also supports the Logi Bolt USB receiver, sold separately, and is not compatible with other Logitech USB receivers.
Moreover, the keyboard features smart backlighting that activates when hands approach the keys, with brightness automatically adjusted based on ambient lighting conditions. The MX Keys S is powered by a rechargeable 1,500 mAh lithium-polymer battery and charges via USB-C. Battery life is rated at up to 10 days with backlighting enabled or up to five months with backlighting turned off.
Customisation for the MX Keys S for Mac is supported through the Logi Options+ app on macOS. The keyboard is compatible with Logitech Flow technology when used with a Flow-enabled Logitech mouse.
