Logitech's new Wireless Touch Keyboard K400 Plus wants to snuggle up on the sofa with you

Logitech is no stranger to keyboards and mice - indeed, over the years, it"s offered input devices of all shapes and sizes, and they remain a popular choice among consumers. Many of these have been designed for the "traditional" desktop PC, or - more recently - for mobile computing, but its latest offering wants to get cozy with you on your sofa.

The Wireless Touch Keyboard K400 Plus isn"t Logitech"s first venture into living room peripherals - indeed, it succeeds the similarly-named K400, among others - but the company will no doubt be hoping to cash in on the growing numbers of users who are buying smart TVs, or connecting computing devices to the biggest screen in their homes.

The K400 Plus features a standard keyboard layout, but where you might expect to find a number pad on a regular full-size keyboard, there"s an integrated touchpad with multitouch support instead. The Fn keys along the top row of the keyboard offer alternative quick-functions, such as media playback controls.

The K400 Plus connects wirelessly to a tiny receiver that you"ll need to plug into a USB port on your TV, PC or multimedia box, with a range of 10 meters (33 feet). The device is compatible with Windows 7, Windows 8.x and Windows 10, along with Android 5.0 and Chrome OS.

Logitech claims that you"ll get up to 18 months of usage out of a single pair of AA batteries. With those batteries installed, the whole thing weighs in at 390g.

The Wireless Touch Keyboard K400 Plus is on sale now for $39.99 USD / £34.99 GBP / €44.99 EUR. You can get an overview of what the device offers in Logitech"s video below:
