Microsoft announces new Marimekko-designed Surface accessories

Today, Microsoft announced a range of new accessories for its Surface Pro devices. Along with a new Aqua color for the Signature Type Cover, Surface Arc Mouse, and Surface Pen, there"s a range of Type Covers, sleeves, and skins that are designed by Marimekko, a company that was founded in 1951 whose "unconventional designs transformed the tradition of textile printing and clothing in Finland."

There are two new Type Covers: Siirtolapuutarha and Kaivo. The top of the keyboard is a standard gray, and unlike the Signature Type Covers, there"s no Alcantara fabric. The Type Covers are a little expensive at $179.99, but you can find them in the Microsoft Store.

The Marimekko Skin is available in four different flavors: Siirtolapuutarha, Kaivo, Unikko, and Räsymatto. Those will run you $39.99, and you can find them on the Microsoft Store here.

Finally, the Marimekko Sleeve will fit either a Surface Pro or a Surface Laptop, and those come in Räsymatto and Unikko designs. You can buy one for $74.99 from the Microsoft Store here.
