One week after releasing a security update for the Edge browser, Microsoft is back with another release that addresses more vulnerabilities, improves performance, and introduces other minor changes.
If you use Microsoft Edge, you can now update to version 144.0.3719.104. According to the release notes, this version fixed various bugs and performance issues and brought some feature updates. The feature update in question is cross-platform policy support in the Edge management service, which allows IT admins to configure the browser"s policies on other platforms on top of existing Windows configurations:
Cross-platform policies in the Edge management service. Admins can now configure policies for Edge for Business across macOS, iOS, and Android devices on top of their existing Windows configurations in the Edge management service.
As for security vulnerabilities, Edge 144.0.3719.104 fixed a high-severity vulnerability originating from Chromium:
- CVE-2026-1504: Inappropriate implementation in the background Fetch API in Google Chrome prior to 144.0.7559.110 allowed a remote attacker to leak cross-origin data via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
In case you missed it, Microsoft released Edge 144 earlier this month. The feature update introduced some useful changes, like an easy way to remove the Copilot button from the browser"s toolbar. Now, all you have to do is right-click the Copilot button and select "Hide Copilot." Additionally, it is now easier to save addresses when filling out forms. Edge now prompts you if you want to save the entered address for future use.
Shortly after the release of Edge 144, Microsoft pushed a minor update (144.0.3719.92) to fix issues that caused rendering issues in the browser, plus a few security vulnerabilities. The next feature update for Microsoft Edge, version 145, is expected in the week of February 12, 2026.
