Microsoft names game titles for Xbox

Microsoft said Friday it"s developing seven video game titles for its upcoming Xbox console, the software giant"s first titles for the machine as it gears up for entry into the $20 billion video game market this fall.

About 12 to 20 game titles will be ready by the time of launch, and Microsoft plans to ship 1 million to 1.5 million units of consoles during the holiday shopping season.

Microsoft"s in-house titles are Nezmix, Maximum Chase, Halo, Project Gotham:World Street Racer, Tenku-Freestyle Snowboarding, Jockey"s Road and Kakuto Chojin. The company said new sensitivities following the Sept. 11 attacks haven"t resulted in any changes to the games" content.
