Microsoft rolls out new Office Insider Previews for Windows 10, Mac and iOS

Microsoft has released a new wave of Office Insider Previews on multiple platforms, offering an early look at some new features and improvements that will soon be available for all users.

On Windows 10, Microsoft has rolled out build 17.8431 of its Office Mobile apps to the Slow ring, previewing its upcoming August feature update, with the following improvements:

Improved smart quotes | New in Word

You asked for it! Smart quotes are now smarter after em dashes (—).

Insert cut or copied cells | New in Excel

We heard you! Cut or copy cells and insert them with just a tap. Works for whole rows and columns.

On Mac, Office Insiders in the Slow ring can now get Version 15.37 (170805):

Your first draft just got easier | New in Word

Researcher helps you find relevant quotes, citable sources, and images - all without leaving Word.

Click more confidently | New in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Malicious links in documents, workbooks, and presentations are blocked to keep you safer. (NOTE: This feature requires an Office 365 subscription.)

And finally, on iOS, Microsoft has released a preview for Version 2.4 (17080700), bringing the following improvements:

Custom margins | New in Word

Set the margins in your document to be just the way you like them.

Redesigned conversation experience | New in Outlook

Outlook now shows more of your conversation at once and provides clearer separation between individual messages.

Quickly access your groups and sites | New in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Quickly find documents, workbooks, and presentation stored in your frequently used sites and groups in the Open menu.

Improved smart quotes | New in Word

You asked for it! Smart quotes are now smarter after em dashes (—).

Quickly switch between accounts and folders | New in Outlook

The account and folder menu has been beautifully redesigned to give you super-fast access to all your accounts.

For those not on the Office Insider Program, Microsoft should be rolling out these new features to each respective platform in the next few weeks.
