Microsoft has announced Surveys Agent, a new agent that the company claims will help users with survey creation "from start to finish". This new tool lets you create a form, get responses, and interpret those responses, all through a chat interface.
Microsoft says the new agent will come in handy in cases like gathering feedback after a training session or measuring what your employees actually think about their jobs. If you need to send invitations to a specific group, the agent can handle that, and it will also remind people via Outlook to actually fill out the thing, which will probably help with response rates.
To use the new agent, you first have to be a commercial user with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license who is also part of the company"s Frontier program. This program gives customers early access to new Copilot features while they are still in development. You then sign into microsoft365.com/copilot with that account. In the Microsoft 365 Copilot left pane, you select "Agents" and then choose "Surveys".
From there, you simply type a prompt describing the survey you want to create or use one of the built-in examples. Once the survey looks right, you can type "Ready to send" to generate a tailored distribution plan that includes recommended channels and a monitoring timeline.
The agent also gives you a preview of your survey before anything goes out. You can even export the results and summarized insights straight to an Excel workbook for more detailed analysis.
On a related note, Microsoft and Samsung very recently announced a partnership to bring Copilot to Samsung"s 2025 lineup of smart TVs and monitors. Copilot will be available as a voice-powered AI assistant that you can activate through the remote or with a voice command.
Other features include personalized recommendations for shows and games. It will also allow users to manage their Microsoft 365 files directly on their TV.
