Microsoft to offer students Windows 8 upgrades for $69.99

Even though Microsoft’s bargain Windows 8 price is about to come to an end, if you are a student, Microsoft will be launching an upgrade promotion that will allow you to upgrade to Windows 8 for $69.99.

While this price is more expensive than the promo price being offered right now of $39.99, it is far less than the full retail price of $119 that kicks in February 1st. So, if for some reason you miss out on the price that expires tomorrow at midnight and you are a student, you will still have access to a low-cost option to obtain Windows 8.

Microsoft has also stated that its Windows Campus tour will kick-off on February 18th and will travel across the US and visit over 150 universities along the way. On the tour, Microsoft will offer college students access to test out the latest tablets and PCs as well as chat with technical experts about Windows 8 and much more.

You can find the entire list of stops on the campus tour here.
