Microsoft updated its OneNote app for Android today, offering Office Lens integration to everyone. The feature was originally made available to beta testers back in November.
If you"re not familiar with Office Lens, it"s one of the more useful applications that Microsoft offers. You can use it to scan documents, and it will automatically crop and straighten them. With the app itself, the document can be exported as an image or PDF, or you can send it to OneNote, Word, and other Office applications.
That"s not all that"s new in today"s update though. If you"re on Android 7.1 Nougat or above, you"ll now be able to hold the app icon, and there will be a pop-up menu that allows you to create different kinds of notes. You"ll also now be able to sign into the app using just your phone number, so users will no longer have to remember their passwords.
