Microsoft's affiliate program will soon support Windows Store content

Microsoft, like many other companies, has an affiliate program where you can earn additional revenue on your website (or similar) by linking to the company"s products such as Surface, Xbox, PCs, Phones and Office 365. If a consumer uses your link to buy a product, you will receive a portion of the sale - and the program will soon be expanding.

It looks like Microsoft is updating its program, likely as part of Windows 10, to now include Windows Store content. As you can see from the screenshot above, the service will let you link to apps, games, music and videos and receive a portion of the revenue.

The new product categories are not quite ready yet, but if you want to take part in the program, hit the source link below and fill out the required information. Be aware that all applications are reviewed and you will need to have a website to participate in the program.

The reason Microsoft offers this type of program is simple: it allows website owners to act as sales agents for the company to generate revenue for their business, and for Microsoft, they gain new customers with minimal marketing effort through the program.
