Microsoft's range-topping Surface Pro 3 gets £350 off in the UK; i3 and i5 (128GB) now sold out

Following the launch of its new flagship Surface Pro 4 tablet, Microsoft has been clearing inventory of the older Pro 3 with some big price cuts. Until earlier this month, you could get up to £240 off certain models in the range in the UK, but last week, it bumped that up to a £270 discount on the Pro 3 with Intel Core i5, 8GB of RAM and 256GB SSD.

Now, it"s the turn of the range-topping Core i7 / 8GB / 512GB SSD model - previously available with £220 off its original list price of £1,549, Microsoft Store UK has now extended that discount to £350, bringing it down to £1,199.

The Intel Core i7 / 8GB model with 256GB of storage is also available for £1,059, a reduction of £240 off its original £1,299 price tag.

The discounts on the Surface Pro 3 are scheduled to continue through to January 6, 2016, or "while supplies last". However, the entry-level i3 / 4GB / 64GB model sold out a couple of weeks ago, and now the second most affordable Pro 3 is also out of stock.

If you"ve been thinking of buying one of the tablets at these lower prices, it might be best to do so sooner rather than later - after all, those supplies may not last much longer.
