There are a number of all-in-one Windows 8 touchscreen PCs that have been launched in the past few months, and more are coming later in 2013. However, all of them have been promoted as either for the business user or for the family or home office. Today, MSI announced a Windows 8 all-in-one that it claims it is making for the hardcore PC gamer.
MSI showed off the PC, the MSI AG2712, at the CeBIT trade show in Germany this week. SlashGear got a chance to go hands on with the 27-inch touchscreen PC. Inside, users can choose to put in either an Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor, but the key to its gaming performance will likely come from its included NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670X graphics chip.
The article states that the PC"s touchscreen is actually an option, rather than the standard for the product, so if you don"t want to have the touch experience you don"t have to have it. It also comes with two USB 3.0 ports on the left side, along with a memory card reader. The right side has a tray loaded disc drive. The back has two more USB 3.0 ports, along with two more for USB 2.0 support.
It also has two HDMI ports – one could be used to hook the PC up to a second display while the other can be used to hook up an external device to the PC, such as a game console. At the moment, there"s no word on when MSI plans to launch the AG2712, nor is there a price tag for the PC.
