New watch faces from One UI 8 Watch rolling out for older Samsung Galaxy smartwatches

Samsung recently took the wraps off its new generation of smartwatches, the Galaxy Watch8 series, which includes the Galaxy Watch8, Galaxy Watch8 Classic, and the new Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025). The latest smartwatches now feature a squircle design, similar to the older Galaxy Watch Ultra. Notably, the Galaxy Watch8 Classic brings back the iconic rotating bezel.

Both the new Galaxy Watch8 Series and Watch Ultra (2025) run on the One UI 8 Watch software and come loaded with new watch faces. Fortunately, for those using older Galaxy watches, Samsung has a treat for now. Following its tradition, the company is rolling out new watch faces introduced with One UI 8 Watch to older models.

This piece of information comes from leaker Theordsym on the social media platform X , who shared multiple screenshots showcasing all the new watch faces that One UI 8 Watch introduces.

The new watch faces are rolling out for the Galaxy Watch7 and are purportedly available in the U.S. and Korea. Based on the screenshots, the One UI 8 Watch brings seven new watch faces for the Galaxy Watch8 series. Here is the list of all the latest watch faces:

  • Sporty Classic
  • Heritage Classic
  • Daily Dashboard
  • Circle Dashboard
  • Minimal Analog
  • Minimal Digital
  • Dynamic Digits

The new watch faces are arriving via the Galaxy Wearable app, and since the expansion has already started, you can expect your Galaxy Watch to get the new watch faces soon. However, do note that the latest models, such as the Galaxy Watch7 and Galaxy Watch6 may be the first in line to get the latest watch faces. Older Galaxy watch owners may have to wait for a while, or who knows, Samsung may give them a surprise.

Samsung has also recently confirmed that the Galaxy Watch4, which was the first Wear OS smartwatch from Samsung, will get the One UI 8 Watch update. It will be the fourth major OS update for the Galaxy Watch4.
