Nokia 7 set to launch in China on October 24th

Over the past few months, HMD Global has released a number of Android-powered devices, including Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and the high-end Nokia 8.

At a press event in China, HMD Global has launched yet another mid-range device, the Nokia 7. The handset offers a decent set of specifications and offers users with a premium form factor including a glass back and aluminum chassis. There"s a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display sporting a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels with 423 ppi pixel density, protected by 2.5 D curved Corning Gorilla.

Under the hood, there"s Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor, a 3000 mAh battery and IP54 certification making the handset splash proof. There are two versions of the handset: one featuring 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage while the second variant comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

On the photography side, the all-new Nokia 7 is equipped with a 16MP rear camera with F1.8 aperture and a dual-tone flash. As for selfies, there"s a 5MP front-facing shooter with F2.0 aperture, larger 1.4um pixels, and an 84-degree field-of-view. Nokia 7 is the second smartphone to feature the company"s "bothie" camera mode, which gives users the ability to capture photos from front and back camera at the same time.

Connectivity-wise, there"s Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C, a 3.5mm headset jack, NFC, and LTE Cat.6.

Nokia 7 is set to launch in China on October 24, carrying a price tag of ¥2,499 with 4 GB of RAM. The 6GB variant will set users back by ¥2,699. Customers interested in the device can pre-order it from JD.com, Suning, and Tmall. There"s no word about its global availability.
