Microsoft has a new PowerToys update for Windows 11 and Windows 10 users (PowerToys is still supported there, even though the OS is not anymore). Version 0.95.1 arrived with some much-needed fixes for Light Switch, a new module that finally enables automatic theme switching in Windows 11 and 10. Users complained about Light Switch being enabled by default, so now, PowerToys 0.95.1 fixes that, preventing unsolicited theme switching on users" computers. Also, Microsoft changed the Manual mode to "Fixed Hours" and brought a new mode that lets you turn off the schedule but still switch modes with a keyboard shortcut.
There are also fixes for Command Palette, Find My Mouse, and the installer. Here is the changelog:

- Fixed crashes on pages using filters (e.g., Windows Terminal profiles, Windows Services) when built with trimming or AOT by removing runtime bindings from the FiltersDropDown control.
- Fixed an issue where window style changes (such as WS_EX_TOOLWINDOW) were not properly applied by ensuring cached window data is refreshed.

- Fixed a bug where Light Switch was enabled by default
- Fixed a bug where the Manual time schedule was being overridden by sunset calculations
- Renamed "Manual" mode to "Fixed Hours" for clarity
- Created a new "Off" mode that disables the schedule but still allows the shortcut to be used
- Fixed a bug that allowed the taskbar to be the accent color in light mode (this should only be allowed in dark mode)
- Fixed a bug where light/dark times were not updating when switching between modes (Specifically, manual back to the Sunset to Sunrise mode).
- Find my mouse:
- Fixed a bug that would cause the window to lose focus
- Fixed a bug that would cause the mouse to go busy (hourglass)
- Installer:
- Removed WiX v3 infrastructure and migrated exclusively to WiX v5, cutting build times.

- Improvements to the bug report system
You can download PowerToys 0.95.1 from the Microsoft Store or GitHub. Existing installations can be updated on the "General" tab.
