There is a brand-new freebie available for PC gamers to claim from the Epic Games Store. Last week"s Definitely Not Fried Chicken offer has been replaced, and what"s here this week is Botany Manor. As usual, you have seven days to add the two games permanently to your Epic Games Store library.
Released in 2024, the title lands as a puzzle game where players explore a countryside manor that is cultivating magical flora. Taking the role of a retired botanist that has inherited this mystery building, you have to research the various plants it is growing to eventually publish a book about the magical forgotten flora.
Exploring the manor gives players hints at how to bloom the magical plants, with each specimen needing various environmental conditions to bloom.
"The plants you grow are fantastical, but still inspired by real phenomena in nature, so some of them require you to think outside the box. Using what"s available to you in the manor, you must create the ideal conditions for each plant," says the developer, Balloon Studios, describing the gameplay. "Botany Manor offers a relaxing and peaceful environment, feel free to stop and smell the roses."
The Botany Manor giveaway is now live on the Epic Games Store. PC gamers can add the title to their library for no cost during the seven-day timeframe before the next freebie arrives, which is slated to be The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark, and it"s landing on February 12.
At the same time, over on its mobile store on Android and iOS, Epic Games is also giving away Botany Manor, letting you jump into the puzzle game while on the go.
Don"t forget that Epic Games recently confirmed it is rebuilding the PC launcher to be faster and more stable, with major new features also landing.
