According to a report in March citing the Chinese-language Economic Daily News, Apple supposedly had contracted Quanta to manufacture Video iPods. However it seems this has changed with a DigiTimes report stating that Apple has shifted manufacturing to an unnamed source. This coincides with the report of Apple dropping its long-time partner PortalPlayer in favor of Samsung to produce the processors that power today"s iPods.
