Red Hat launches premium tier of its Learning Subscription

Red Hat has announced an extension to its Red Hat Learning Subscription service to include a premium tier. With Red Hat’s Learning Subscription service which launched in 2016, the firm said that thousands of individuals and organisations have developed new skills and knowledge they need to “thrive in the evolving technology market”.

The premium tier includes all of the standard tier features plus:

  • Live instructor-led virtual classes
  • Red Hat certified instructors
  • Flexible scheduling and shorter training sessions for those with busy schedules
  • Focused training sessions
  • Course content adjusted based on product releases, updates, and emerging technologies

Commenting on the premium tier, Ken Goetz, vice president, Training & Certification, Red Hat, said:

“The events over the past year have changed the landscape for learning. Our customers expect flexible learning options that align to the new normal of working from anywhere and learning in the flow of work. With the Red Hat Learning Subscription Premium, we’re providing users with a modernized, flexible experience that allows our customers to fill critical skill gaps quickly and effectively so they can accelerate their IT transformation efforts.”

According to the company, it has also introduced two new features. Expert chat translation allows users on the standard tier to talk with Red Hat experts in English, International Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, Italian, German, Simplified Chinese, Korean, and Japanese. Video classroom machine translations have also been improved for users on all tiers to provide more accurate translations into Chinese, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.

To find out more, head over to the Red Hat Learning Subscription website. The premium tier is available for $8,000 plus applicable taxes but is limited to customers in the United States. It"s unclear if Red Hat will expand it to other markets at this time.
