Samsung has reported its third quarter 2025 results, noting that consolidated revenue came in at KRW 86.1 trillion ($60.26 billion), representing a 15.4% increase from the last quarter. It said that its operating profit came in at KRW 12.2 trillion ($8.54 billion).
The Korean phone maker shared data for its respective divisions, too. For example, the Device Solutions division recorded revenue of KRW 33.1T and profit of KRW 7.0T with sales increasing 19% quarter over quarter. This record-high quarterly revenue was driven by the strong growth of HBM3E memory and server SSDs.
Also contributing to the Device Solutions division was Samsung’s Foundry, which posted a significant improvement in earnings from reduced one-off costs and better fab utilization. It also achieved record-high customer orders on advanced nodes. Additionally, Samsung’s System LSI business saw earnings stall due to seasonality and customer inventory adjustments.
Samsung’s Mobile eXperience (MX) and Networks businesses recorded revenue of KRW 34.1T and profit of 3.6T. The company achieved quarter-over-quarter and year-over-year growth in sales and operating profit thanks to robust flagship smartphone sales and the strong launch of the Galaxy Z Fold7.
The Samsung Display Corporation (SDC) saw revenue hit KRW 8.1T and profits hit KRW 1.2T. SDC’s performance improved from robust demand for flagship smartphones and increased unit sales of large displays like gaming monitors.
Finally, the Visual Display (VD) and Digital Appliance businesses saw revenues of KRW 13.9T and recorded a loss of KRW 0.1T. Samsung said that it saw solid sales growth for premium products like Neo QLED, OLED, and large-screen TVs, but earnings fell due to intensified competition.
Going into the end of the year, Samsung says it"ll try to increase sales of high-value-added memory products for AI by ramping up mass production of 2nm Gate-All-Around (GAA) products. It also said we will see season promotions for AI smartphones and foldables to drive year-over-year growth. Finally, there are plans to increase the sales of large displays with the full-scale launch of the new QD-OLED monitor lineup.
