Save up to 80% on games like Far Cry Primal with this week's Deals with Gold

If your new year"s resolutions include something along the lines of "play more games in 2018", you could have a decent enough start towards that goal with this week"s Deals with Gold. Microsoft announced fresh discounts for those on Xbox One and Xbox 360, with some heavy hitters being thrown in the mix.

First off, if you haven"t traveled back to the stone age in Far Cry Primal, the game has received a significant 70% discount this week, giving you enough reason to explore this vast and dangerous world. Fight for survival in a time when everything was trying to kill you, including Sabertooth tigers, Mammoths, and some pretty awesome women with sharp sticks. If the idea of living in the past makes your skin crawl, Microsoft offers a pretty decent discount on Grand Theft Auto V, including its numerous limited editions.

On the other hand, you might not be particularly interested in either a return to the past or a rampage through a peaceful city. Several indie games received discounts this week as well, including Badland: Game of the Year Edition, Firewatch, Inside, the hilarious Her Majesty"s SPIFFING, and What Remains of Edith Finch. Beyond that, if you managed to play some Halo 5: Guardians during the last free weekend, the game received a 40% discount if you happened to enjoy the Master Chief"s escapades.

Please note that some of these deals require an active Xbox Live subscription, which can be purchased here. Some of the games available on Xbox 360 are backward compatible with the Xbox One.
