Amazon US is once again offering six variants of the 13-inch Apple iPad Air at their lowest prices. Running on iPadOS 18, the device is powered by the M3 chip, which has an 8-core CPU with four performance cores and four efficiency cores, a 9-core GPU with hardware-accelerated ray tracing, a 16-core Neural Engine, and 8GB of RAM.
The iPad Air features a Liquid Retina display with LED backlighting, Multi‑Touch with IPS technology, and a 2732 × 2048 resolution at 264 ppi. The display supports wide colour gamut (DCI-P3), True Tone, and includes fingerprint-resistant and anti-reflective coating, offering 600 nits of brightness. Furthermore, it is compatible with the Apple Pencil Pro and Apple Pencil (USB-C) with hover functionality.
The rear camera is a 12MP Wide camera with ƒ/1.8 aperture, five-element lens, digital zoom up to 5x, panorama support up to 63MP, autofocus with Focus Pixels, Smart HDR 4, and wide colour capture. It records 4K video at 24, 25, 30, or 60 fps, 1080p HD at 25, 30, or 60 fps, and 720p HD at 30 fps.
Meanwhile, the front-facing 12MP Landscape Center Stage camera has an ƒ/2.0 aperture, Smart HDR 4, 1080p HD video recording, cinematic stabilisation, Retina Flash with True Tone, and supports FaceTime video with Centre Stage, portrait mode, spatial audio, and screen sharing.
The iPad includes landscape stereo speakers, dual microphones for calls and recordings, and supports FaceTime audio and video across devices. Security features include Touch ID for device unlocking, app protection, Apple Pay, and secure transactions. Moreover, sensors include a three-axis gyro, accelerometer, barometer, and ambient light sensor.
Connectivity is via a USB-C port supporting charging, DisplayPort, USB 3.0 (up to 10Gb/s), external displays up to 6K at 60Hz, video mirroring, and AirPlay streaming up to 4K. Finally, the built-in 36.59-watt-hour lithium-polymer battery provides up to 10 hours of web browsing or video playback on Wi-Fi and up to 9 hours on cellular.
