Some Apple Retina display MBPs suffering from ghosting

Apple"s all new MacBook Pro with the Retina display has certainly been getting a lot of good press and the insanely high resolution screen is pushing boundaries when it comes to making advancements in compact notebooks. But, if you are thinking of purchasing a new MBP with the Retina display, you may want to hold off as there have been a few hiccups which early adopters are starting to report.

The video above shows it best, there is a ghosting issue affecting some users of the MBP with Retina display. The ghosting can last up to five minutes before it is completely gone which is not something you would expect from a laptop costing over 2k.

The support forums over at Apple have a couple of users saying they have experienced this issue while others are reporting that their machines are fine. It is not unexpected that there may be a few hiccups with the Retina displays as this is the first generation of the device. Fortunately, Apple"s customer service has been top notch in dealing with the issue and has been quick to replace the devices that are affected.
