Sony announces four new DualShock Controller colors and a gold headset

Just a few months ago, a unique shade called Alpine Green was announced for DualShock 4 controllers. Today, Sony introduced four more colors for its DS4 wireless gamepad, which is already available in a wide spectrum of over 25 colors. The new shades are called Electric Purple, Red Camouflage, Titanium Blue and Rose Gold. Of the four, two colors feature metallic finishes.

Electric Purple features a two-tone purple design with contrasting white PlayStation shapes on the controller. Red Camouflage has a camouflage pattern of black, red and brown with hints of silver details. Moving on to the metallic shades, the Titanium Blue DS4 sports a blue metallic cover with light blue and matte blue-back details.

True to its name, the fourth and final new color - Rose Gold - features a rose gold metallic finish. Additionally, Sony also debuted a matching Rose Gold Edition Headset to pair with the controller in the same shade to form a Rose Gold Collection. The Rose Gold headband boasts a Rose Gold metallic finish with embossed PlayStation shapes on the inside. It will be available later this year in Fall 2019.

All of the new shades for the DualShock 4 wireless controller launch this September, priced at $64.99. They will only be available at select retailers in the U.S. and Canada. As for the Rose Gold Edition Headset accompanying the Rose Gold DS4 controller, it will be available for purchase in November, setting back customers $99.99 apiece.
