Sony unveil PS2 videophone

No longer will you be able to answer the phone while just wearing your pants

Sony"s dream of a PlayStation-powered digital home is another step closer with news of a system that converts PlayStation 2 into a videophone.

At the sexily-titled IPv6 Business Summit 2004, which has just taken place in Tokyo, Sony demo"d a PS2 linked with a USB camera sending live video communication over the net.

Hardware-wise, the necessary peripherals are already available in the shape of Sony"s EyeToy USB camera and Sony"s broadband Network Adaptor.
