Star Wars Outlaws and Resident Evil Village heads to Xbox Game Pass as January headliners

It"s a new year, and it has been a few weeks since Microsoft"s game subscription platform, Xbox Game Pass, received any new titles. That"s changing today, as a brand-new wave of games has just been announced, and it includes some heavy hitters like Star Wars Outlaws, Resident Evil Village, and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition. Even the original Final Fantasy from Square Enix, with modernizations, is included in this month"s additions.

Here are all the fresh games that were announced today for Xbox Game Pass:

From the bunch, only a single game is a day-one drop for the service. That is MIO: Memories in Orbit, a hand-crafted Metroidvania set within a decaying world reclaimed by nature and robots.

As brand-new games arrive to subscribers in the new year, five will be leaving the service on January 15. This includes Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, Neo White, Road 96, The Ascent, and The Grinch Christmas Adventures.

With the holiday break now behind it, Xbox Game Pass waves should be going back to their usual schedule, meaning the next announcement will be landing in two weeks" time on January 20. Don"t forget that an Xbox Direct games showcase is slated to happen later this month too, which can bring even more Game Pass reveals.
