Stardock releases Winstyles

WinStyles extends Windows theming to include third party programs ranging from WindowBlinds to WinAmp and many programs in-between. It is a program Stardock has been working on for over a year to create a seamless way of truly controlling the way Windows looks, feels and functions.

When a user applies a WinStyles theme, the program talks to the various installed programs and passes them the necessary skins, icons, themes, etc. for them to use to customize the part of the desktop needed. If the user is missing a particular program, WinStyles can automatically download and install a program. So if a user downloads a WinStyles theme and applies it but the user is missing IconPackager, WinStyles can go and download the latest version of IconPackager from Stardock and install it for them.

It also allows users to control their various desktop enhancement programs from a single location.

Winstyles is also part of Stardock"s Object Desktop
