Surface Book and Book 2 get a handful of driver updates

Microsoft"s Surface Book lineup has gone a couple of years without a hardware refresh - though that may be set to change soon - but the first and second-generation models are still supported with driver and firmware updates every now and then. That"s the case today, with a handful of updates heading out to both generations of the device.

For both the Surface Book and Book 2, the list of updates is short, but the second-generation model does have three updates available:

Windows Update History Name Device Manager Name Version and Update
Marvell Semiconductor, Inc. – Bluetooth – 15.68.17017.115 Marvell AVASTAR Bluetooth Radio Adapter - Bluetooth

15.68.17017.115

  • improves Bluetooth connectivity.
Marvell Semiconductor, Inc. – Net – 15.68.17017.115 Marvell AVASTAR Wireless-AC Network Controller – Network adapters

15.68.17017.115

  • resolves Wi-Fi connectivity issues and improves overall connection stability.
Surface – System – 3.32.139.0 Surface DTX – System devices

3.32.139.0

  • resolves screen detach scenarios when using “Light Theme”.

As for the first-generation Surface Book, the list is actually just one item, and it"s the same as the last one on the list above.

The updates should be available now for users running Windows 10 version 1903, also known as the May 2019 Update, or newer.
