Surface Laptop 4 drivers and firmware show up on Microsoft's website

The Surface Laptop 4 seems to be one of the worst-kept secrets from Microsoft this spring. Leaks of the device started back in November, along with leaks of the Surface Pro 8 that we now know as the Surface Pro 7+.

But now, Microsoft has actually published the firmware and drivers bundle for the new Surface Laptop 4, as spotted by leakster WalkingCat. There are two variants, one for AMD and one for Intel, confirming that Microsoft will once again be using both companies as sources for processors. It also confirms the name, as some may have suspected that it would be called Surface Laptop 3+, taking after the Surface Pro 7+.

That"s it though. It"s safe to assume that if these packages are being published, the device is set to be launched soon enough. Rumors are that the Surface Laptop 4 will include Intel"s 11th-generation processors with Iris Xe graphics, or you"ll be able to get them with AMD Ryzen 4000 chips, which will once again be branded as "Surface Edition".

The other rumor has had this PC targeted for April, so perhaps we"ll see more this month.
