Thousands of viewers gathered arround their television sets as the final truths were revealed in the series finale of The X-Files.
The classic struggle of the protagonist Fox Mulder and skeptic Dana Scully has kept viewers watching for nine years. However the popularity of the series droped with the sudden departure of David Duchovny during the 7th season.
Other memorable characters made cameo apperances throughout the final episode, including cult favorite The Lone Gunman who tragicly past away a prior episode.
