This AMD RX 9070 is better than the NVIDIA RTX 5070, and it's on sale right now

Recently we covered a solid deal on AMD"s 9060 XT 16GB variant wherein the card is on sale for just $400 thanks to a special promo code. The deal is still live and you can check it out in this dedicated piece here.

The 9060 XT 16GB is great for 1080p gaming and is even capable of playing lighter titles at 1440p. However, if you want more performance and have a budget of up to $600, the Radeon RX 9070 is a great buy. Currently the XFX Swift OC variant of it is a very nice deal at just $580 (purchase link under the specs table down below).

The RX 9070 is better than NVIDIA"s RTX 5070 for rasterization performance though it falls behind in ray tracing. So if you are willing to dial down those RT settings, you are on to a winner here.

For thermal management, the XFX Swift card uses a triple 90mm fan cooling solution in a 3.5-slot design. The fans are dual-ball bearing for reduced friction and extended longevity, and they help cool down the 6mm heat pipes underneath. XFX applies the PTM7950 TIM (thermal interface material) to help maintain efficient heat transfer from the GPU core to the heat pipes during long gaming sessions. A full-length metal backplate adds structural rigidity while also helping protect the PCB above it. There is no RGB.
