If gamers love something, that’s customizing their hardware. And while custom keyboards have been huge for years, the controllers are catching up fast. Although we don’t have an established market of swappable controller keycaps and other components, there are some cool controllers that allow you to change the layout to your preference. That’s where Turtle Beach shines, with its collection of modular Xbox controllers.
Today we’re talking about the Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded. It ships with three interchangeable modules and 11 total components, allowing you to reconfigure the layout to suit your grip and play style. The package also includes the Fightpad module, which adds six buttons with Kailh microswitches, designed for fighting game players.
Turtle Beach incorporated its own Hall-Effect technology into the sticks and triggers, which uses magnets to prevent drift over time. The triggers have five adjustable stops with a hair-trigger mode for faster actuation in shooters. And finally, four remappable quick-action buttons complete the deal.
Battery life is up to 20 hours wirelessly, and it also works wired. There"s a 3.5mm audio jack, and a lifetime Dolby Atmos subscription, which is a nice addition.
At $149.99, the BFG Reloaded sits on the pricier end of the market, but its modular design, along with a nice discount, definitely makes this controller worth checking out. Right now, both white and black variants are on sale.
