This mix of DualShock and Xbox controller is now 15% off with 1 month of Game Pass Ultimate

The Hyperkin Competitor is a rather unorthodox gamepad that mixes Xbox with DualSense, giving Xbox users an interesting mix of both worlds. This wired controller usually goes for $49.99, but right now, you can get it with a 15% discount. Additionally, you will find one month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate in the box, which is an extra saving, especially given the recent price increase.

The Competitor has a symmetrical PlayStation-like layout with Hall Effect sticks and triggers for better longevity, precision and no drift over time. Besides, sticks have glide rings for smoother input and two spare sticks in the box (dome and concave).

On the back, you can also find two additional mappable buttons for extra personalization. These buttons have physical locks, so that you can turn them off in games where you do not need them.

The Competitor is officially licensed by Xbox, which means it has the official Xbox button, a 3.5mm jack for your headphones, and the Share button. It works with Xbox consoles and PC in wired mode (a long USB Type-C to USB Type-A comes in the box). As for colors, you get to choose from PlayStation-like white and regular black.

Over the last few weeks, I have been testing this gamepad on my PC, and it left a good impression, even though I personally prefer asymmetrical gamepads. Those who like bigger gamepads with a symmetrical layout will like The Competitor, especially at its affordable price.
