Just like Facebook, Twitter has come under some scrutiny in recent times. The company has been working on mitigating some of the criticism aimed at it, and making its social media platform a more hospitable place.
To that effect, Twitter is changing how the website displays reported content. An announcement by the Twitter Safety account shows that a tweet you have previously reported will no longer be visible to you, even if Twitter has not yet taken any action against it. It will, instead, showcase a message saying, "You reported this Tweet." If you wish to view it again, though, there will be a "view" option positioned next to the message.

Similarly, tweets that its moderators delete from the platform because they violate its terms of service will now be clearly earmarked as such. They will now read: "This tweet is no longer available because it violated the Twitter Rules." Previously, offending content would simply disappear off the site.
Alongside increasing the transparency of how it handles content that breaks its rules, the change should also allow users to more visibly identify miscreants who regularly post inappropriate content by explicitly marking it as such.
