Changes
- Changed the library playlists plug-in to follow the recently added Titles|ATF preference page option for controlling what is displayed when the title has yet to be generated
- Changed what is shown when trying to access the jump to file dialog if the jtfe plug-in isn"t installed / enabled so the stub dialog will no longer be shown (which never worked & was to just provide enough for what the plug-in needed to work without having to completely re-work the plug-in - something that eventually needs to be done)
Fixes
- Fixed the fix which broke the fix which was causing playback &/or ui lag when using the default output plug-in (notsodirect)
- Fixed the media library window briefly showing & then closing if something else during loading has already caused the window frame to be in a visible state conflicting with the core"s expectations
- Fixed some of the file types using additional information after the extension (e.g. NSFE) not matching to the correct input plug-in in all instances which could prevent metadata / Alt+3 file info working
- Fixed the notsodirect output plug-in not always providing an expected value from it"s open method which with really small buffer sizes could cause the main visualisation & plug-ins to not render correctly
- Fixed the reproducible issues with metadata not being correctly read from NSFE file especially when using the playlist mode & the title information doesn"t align between its internal mapping vs song count
- Fixed the video window auto close (if not in fullscreen mode) not working for the past few builds due to a change to resolve fullscreen on stop handling
- Fixed the video window not auto opening if already closed after making changes to some of the video preference options which left it in an unknown state
- Fixed a blank Shuffle preference item appearing despite all of the handling for that preference page having been removed per the build 23960 changelog
- Fixed TM8 from in_later not having a response to the family metadata call (e.g. when looking at Preferences -> Advanced -> Diagnostics -> File Associations)
- Fixed the 64-bit DirectX 9.0c runtime not being correctly installed which on a new OS install could prevent the likes of the Milkdrop visualisation plug-in from running
Everything else
- Other small changes to avoid some code being left enabled in the wrong build type or inconclusive attempts at some crash fixes based on what build 24472 has generated
- Updated Monkey"s Audio (in_ape.dll) to 12.88 (6 May 2026)
