Weekend downloadable PC games sales for March 1-3

The first weekend of a new month has arrived and we get to enjoy it by playing and buying a lot of great PC games at cheap prices. This time out, you can check out out the full version of a historical action game for free.

Steam has the full version of War of the Roses, the third person action game set in 15th century England from developer Fatshark and publisher Paradox Interactive from now until 4 pm Eastern time on Sunday. You can also buy the game for 75 percent off its normal price. Steam has cut the price of the action game Mark of the Ninja by 67 percent this weekend as well.

Other games on sale this weekend on Steam include Natural Selection 2 for 50 percent off, Capsized for 75 percent off, Section 8 Prejudice for 66 percent off and Space Empires IV and V for 75 percent off each.

GoG.com has a number of adventure game from Daedalic Entertainment on sale for 50 percent off. GameStop has a ton of games and DLC packs on sale this weekend, mostly from Paradox Interactive. Green Man Gaming has several games on sale including Sleeping Dogs for 66 percent off and Chivalry: Medieval Warfare for 50 percent off.
