Weekend PC Game Deals: Final Fantasy for cheap, bundled Borderlands, and free strategy games

Weekend PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals from all over the internet are gathered into one place every week for your consumption. So kick back, relax, and hold on to your wallets.

We are kicking things off with the freebies, and for a change, they are on Steam. The strategy games publisher Slitherine is celebrating its 25th anniversary, and that means three games have gone free to claim alongside all their sales.

You can now grab the 4X strategy experience Battlestar Galactica Deadlock, the turn-based strategy title Fantasy General II, as well as the turn-based tactical game Field of Glory II: Medieval for the low, low price of free.

The trio will be gone from the freebie list of Steam on July 17, so be sure to grab them before that.

Hopping over to bundles, the Borderlands X Wonderlands bundle is carrying the popular looter shooter series from Gearbox, all split into three tiers

For paying $8 you gain Borderlands 3, Borderlands 2, Borderlands 2 VR, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and Borderlands Game of the Year Enhanced. The $11 tier adds on two more games: Tales from the Borderlands and its sequel. The final tier of the bundle costs $16 and adds only Tiny Tina"s Wonderland: Chaotic Great Edition.

Next, the Humblecraft RTS Rush bundle is touting 11 games for those wanting tactical games in their library.

The bundle carries Men of War: Assault Squad 2, AI War 2, From the Depths, Tooth and Tail, four games from the classic Commandos series, Stronghold Definitive Edition, and Dust Fleet.

The Epic Games Store"s own freebies landed earlier this week too. The double giveaway brought in Figment 2: Creed Valley and Sky Racket.

Figment 2: Creed Valley continues the grand musical adventure set in the human mind that began in the original. Once again, you"ll be taking the role of Dusty, the voice of courage, and his sidekick Piper. Next, Sky Racket lands as an indie shoot "em up and Brick Breaker mashup, but the only way to strike back at enemies is by reflecting projectiles back at them using laser tennis rackets.

The double giveaway is set to end on July 17. On the same day, the store will put up the hit Firaxis 4X experience Civilization VI Platinum Edition as the latest freebie.

That"s it for our pick of this weekend"s PC game deals, and hopefully, some of you have enough self-restraint not to keep adding to your ever-growing backlogs.
